Deco 969, the first new apartment building built in Downtown Fort Worth in many years, opened officially on July 17, 2024. The building is 27 stories and comes in with an actual height of 315 feet. It has 302 apartments, with one, two, and three bedroom options. The building was built around the historic Winfield Place, making the tower "L" shaped. The north/south wing of the building stops at the 23rd floor, leaving a rooftop pool and amenity room on the 24th level. The east/west wing continues up to the 27th floor and this portion of the tower features the penthouse units. The first floor is reserved for the building lobby and an 8,500 square foot restaurant, which is scheduled to be Broadway 10 Bar & Chophouse. It is planned to open in early 2025. Floors 2 though 8 house parking for the residents, and the first floor of living starts on the 9th floor. The name is inspired by the Art Deco entry to the building on Commerce Street. The apartment building was developed by Southern Land Co. from Nashville, Tennessee.
